This has a new Remo Renaissance head which we set to 90 on a drum dial. This has also been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse. The frets are in really good shape, they show basically no wear at all!! The case is also very clean. We fixed that seperation but you can still see the seam. The headstock had a split right down the middle which I’m guessing is from the headstock being 2 pieces and the glue got old. This is definitely in great shape and looks really good. The finish has been waxed and the fretboard has been oiled. This is so old that we couldn’t get it perfect but the metal looks really good. We disassembled the banjo and we buffed all of the metal with a high powered buffer. This has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. Outside of the tuners the banjo is cleaned up very well and is set up and ready to play. This really needs new tuners to be used properly. The tuners aren’t holding tune very well and I have them pretty tight already. The serial number is 98519 and the banjo includes a Gold Tone Hardshell Case. This is definitely a nice tenor banjo that was made by a very reputable company many years ago. This has a full size real tone ring which really gives this some great tone and volume.

This has all nickel hardware that I believe is all original with the exception of one missing flange piece.

The resonator is finished in sunburst and has a really nice design on the back. This has a very nice maple shell with a maple neck and resonator. This was made some time before World War 2, I think in the 1920’s. Vega is regarded as one of the finest banjos that has been built.
